How Much CBD Should I Give My Pet?

ree

There is no clear-cut answer to this question. Every pet is different and has unique needs. Pets who are ill and living with chronic conditions may require a larger serving size than a dog who needs CBD to keep them calm for a car trip.

CBD DOSAGE FOR DOGS

A general guideline of CBD dosing falls within the range of 1-5 mg of CBD per 10lbs of body weight for dogs. You can use our recommended for dogs dose calculator for a clear number. A 70-lb dog, therefore, could receive anywhere from 7-35 mg of CBD a day. Pet parents may choose to give their pet a stronger dose depending on their dog’s ailment.

A dog cannot overdose on CBD oil. However, follow the dosing chart on the back of your dog’s CBD package to avoid side effects, such as lethargy, excessive thirst, diarrhea, and low blood pressure.

When adding a new holistic option or supplement to your pet’s life, it’s always best to start with a low dose and slowly increase it. That way, you can notice any side effects of CBD in dogs, help your animal deal with them and adjust the amount you give your pet.

Sniff My Snack offers 10mg per holistic treat give a whole treat or simply break in half for 5mg depending on you dogs weight and needs.
